EAGLE PASS, Texas - A 20-year-old Eagle Pass woman is behind bars after she was arrested on a felony warrant for violating her community supervision, the Maverick County Sheriff's Department announced Tuesday.
Jeorgina Jimenez, who in 2016 was convicted for transporting undocumented immigrants, was arrested following a traffic stop violation.
Jimenez was the only passenger of a 2015 Cadillac CTS that was pulled over because of a defective rear light, the sheriff's department said.
When a sheriff's deputy questioned her, she initially gave a false name, but later confessed her true identity.
Jimenez was booked at the Tom Bowls Detention Center. She is scheduled to to have an initital appearance on Oct. 04 at 9 a.m. before U.S. Magistrate Judge Victor Roberto Garcia of the Western District Court of Texas in Del Rio, Texas, for her alleged violation of her federal community supervision.
