2018 MCJLS kicks-off with successful western pageant

EAGLE PASS, Maverick County, Texas -- The 2018 Maverick County Jr. Livestock Show kicked-off Sunday afternoon at the Zan Matthies Show Barn with its traditional Western Pageant. 


Hundreds of Eagle Passans and residents from surrounding communities attended the event. 


The MCJLS continues this Tuesday with the 5th Annual Chuy Sanchez Memorial Cowboy Breakfast and Wednesday with the 2018 Animal Stock Show. 


This year's pageant winners: 

Tiny Mr. MCJLS Duke: Hugo Antonio Chapa, Prince: Andres J. Casares, Tiny Mr. MCJLS King: August Jack Barfield. 


Tiny Miss MCJLS queen: Dutchess: Catalina Olivares, Princess: Jaylene Krysta Gonzalez, Tiny Miss MCJLS quenn: Laila A. Morales.


Age Category 3-6 Litlle Mr. MCJLS king: Prince Angelino Hernandez, Little Mr. MCJLS king Eli James barfield. 


Little Miss MCJLS queen: Dutches: Addison Rae Garcia, Princess: Juliet Alessandra Razo, Little Miss MCJLS queen: Olivia Giselle Madera.


Age Category 7-10 Junior Miss MCJLS Queen: Dutchess Miranda Criswell, Princess: Rylee Lynn Gloria, Junior MCJLS queen: Amanda Alvarez. 


Age category 11-14 Miss Teen MCJLS Queen: Dutchess: Viviana Balderas, Princess: Elicia Ann Kidd, Miss Teen MCJLS queen: Ximena Elizabeth Perez Galvan. 


Age Category 15-19 Miss MCJLS Queen: Miss Amity Hannah Wauson (selected by her peer contestants), Miss Photogenic: Maria Fernanda Aguado (selected by photograper).
