EAGLE PASS - The first day of early voting for the handful of runoff contests came and went Monday with a good response from Maverick County voters.
According to election officials, a total of 1051 votes were casted the first day of early voting.
Early voting continues until Friday, May 18 at the Multipurpose Center of Eagle Pass. Voting hours are from 7 am to 7 pm.
Election day is next Tuesday.
The voting community is strongly encouraged to cast their vote as several significant offices are at stake, including that of County Judge.
