EAGLE PASS - A Border Patrol agent was rushed to the local hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle crash while on duty.
According to a Maverick County Sheriff's Office press release, a 2009 white in color Toyota Highlander attempted to make a turn from Siesta Dr. onto Highway 277 N. when it struck a U.S. Border Patrol pick-up truck.
The driver of the Toyota Highlander, whose name was not released, refused medical attention, the press release said.
The Border Patrol agent, on the other hand, was transported to the local hospital for treatment of several injuries.
The case remains under investigation by the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.
