EAGLE PASS - An Eagle Pass Independent School District Police officer is under investigation for allegedly sexually assaulting a high school student at the end of last year's school year.
According to the information gathered by EPTXN, the incident, which happened near the end of the school year inside the Eagle Pass High School campus, was initially reported early June by the victim's mother to the EPISD Police, but after she noticed the case was not being handled appropriately by that department, she filed a report with the city police.
The17-year-old victim had an apparent romantic fling with the school officer, EPTXN has learned.
This has not been the only case that has been swept under the rug since EPISD Police Chief Crestino Ynocencio took the interim position several months ago. The Superintendent's office has received an array of complaints by parents and guardians who allege their reports have led nowhere.
No more details about the case were made available.
