EAGLE PASS - Two Eagle Pass women escaped injuries after a Deer caused them to crash the vehicle they were traveling in overnight.
A Maverick County Sheriff's Department press release, said deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident. At the intersection of Highway 57 and Loop 480.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a white Chevy 2500 had crashed into the guardrail.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Sylvia Castro-Gonzalez, told deputies she was driving south when a large Deer crossed her path, causing her to strike it and crash into the guardrail.
Gonzalez and her lone passenger, identified as Maria Castillo, suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention, the release said.
