Nearly 3,500 residents voted in the first five days of Early Voting in Maverick County

EAGLE PASS - The first week of early voting for the Nov. 06 election culminates this Saturday, and the polls are seeing higher numbers than previous election years.

Early voting kicked-off Monday, Oct. 22, and saw the highest turnout thus far with 783 votes registered.

The following day 712 votes were registered, while Wednesday and Thursday recorded 633 and 605 votes, respectively.

On Friday, the vote count once again reached the 700s with 703 votes registered.

Early voting continues Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Multipurpose Center.

The polls close Sunday and open again Monday through Friday.

Election Day for the very much anticipated midterm elections is Nov. 06.
