HIDALGO COUNTY - One day after first arriving on AirForce cargo planes at the Valley International Airport, U.S. Army Engineers are now laying down concertina barbed wire along the border underneath the Hidalgo Port of Entry.
In addition, engineering units plan to set up temporary vehicle barriers, fencing and light towers.
Concertina barbed wire is capable of producing severe wounds at even the slightest touch, according to the information provided.
The same is expected at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
